Shelter

A sound-proofed head compartment inserted into the ground with the function of escaping the urban soundscape when overwhelmed much like an ostrich in the sand.

Audio Sign

Unheard

First installment of a sound sculpture featuring a steel triangle, hanging flashlight, speaker and microphone. When the viewer speaks into the microphone, it triggers sequence of spinning movements in the flashlight. At the bottom of the triangle, a light sensitive sensor determines the outputted frequency.

Therefore, one's voice is being amplified through the movement of the microphone and ultimately the square waves through the speaker.

A to B

Sound installation mapping my daily route with familiar sounds from three major intersections on the path. Sounds are amplified through small speakers creating a subtle almost frustrating sonic environment where the viewer must approach the objects in an intimate fashion to clearly hear the sounds.
